The financial statements of Suez Canal Bank during the past year showed that the bank’s profits increased by 120.4% year-on-year.
The bank explained in a statement to the Egyptian Stock Exchange, today, that it achieved profits of 2.293 billion pounds during 2023, compared to profits of 1.04 billion pounds in 2022.
The bank’s net income from dividend increased over the past year to EGP 3.242 billion, compared to an income of EGP 1.89 billion in 2022.
The bank’s net income from interest and commissions during the first half of this year amounted to EGP 2.84 billion, compared to EGP 1.53 billion during the comparable period last year.
It is noteworthy that the Suez Canal made a profit of 1.36 billion pounds during the period from January to the end of September 2023, compared to a profit of 734.75 million pounds during the comparative period of 2022.
