Samsung has unveiled its new flagship phone Galaxy S24 Ultra equipped with many artificial intelligence tools, with a price starting from 1,300 dollars.
The phone comes with a titanium frame that Samsung says allows for better durability. Samsung did not use this material in an attempt to make the phone lightweight, but for durability, and the S24 Ultra weighs about 232 grams.
Samsung supplied the phone with a 6.8-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 pixels, and the device gets rid of the curved edges inherited from the Note series in favor of the flat screen.
Samsung has replaced the S23 Ultra’s 10-megapixel zoom lens with a 10x zoom lens with a 50-megapixel zoom lens with a 5x zoom.
The lens uses the lossless zoom feature to reach a magnification of 10x, and you can still zoom up to as much as 100x.
The camera features a 200-megapixel main lens with an f / 1.7 aperture, a 10-megapixel telephoto lens that provides a 3x magnification, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, as well as a 12-megapixel front camera.
Samsung has supported its new series of phones with all the artificial intelligence features that I have seen among other flagship phones so far.
The company has equipped the S24 Ultra, S24 Plus and S24 devices with local and cloud-based artificial intelligence features operated by Google’s Gemini models within the device.
The S24 series contains a number of new photo and video editing tools powered by generative artificial intelligence, which you notice throughout the user interface.
And you can circle the subjects of the photo to isolate, resize, move or completely remove them from the frame.
The horizon level in your photo can also be adjusted, and instead of cropping, you can fill in the edges of the photo using artificial intelligence.
And convert any video to slow motion video at a rate of 120 frames per second after capturing it, regardless of the mode, frame rate, or even the camera that captured it. The feature uses artificial intelligence to complete the missing frames.
Other features include Google’s New Circle to Search feature, where in any app you can long press the navigation knob or the Home button and circle everything you want to search across the screen, letting Google do the rest.
Some of the AI features focus on translation, as there is a feature that acts as an interpreter for phone calls, it translates your speech in real time into the other party’s language and vice versa, and this feature works with 13 different languages.
Text conversations can also be translated into another language, which is a function built into the Samsung Keyboard Application, and works via any chat service.
The keyboard can also suggest text based on what you type to customize your message to look casual or professional.
The Notes application supports some useful tools as well, with the ability to automatically format and summarize pages.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, although it lacks wireless charging according to the Qi2 standard, as the S24 Series adopts the old Qi standard.
Samsung is joining Google in providing seven-year operating system upgrades for the S24 series, which includes seven years of security updates.
The price of the S24 Ultra starts from 1300 dollars for the 12 GB/256 GB version, and it starts shipping on January 31, and initial orders are available starting today.
