Samsung dominates the TV market with a market share of 30%

Samsung dominated the global TV market during the past 2023, according to data released by the market research institution “Omdia“, Samsung alone captured a market share of 30.1% in 2023, the company has sold about 8.31 million units of QLED and Neo QLED TVs during the past year.

Samsung accounted for 22.7% of OLED TV sales, Samsung has sold a total of more than one million units since its launch in 2022, and Samsung’S OLED TV sales are expected to increase this year.

Samsung also maintained its dominance in the high-end high-end TVs market, which are TVs priced over USD 2,500 or with a size of 75 inches or larger, accounting for 60.5% of sales in this segment during 2023, an increase of 12.2% compared to 2022.

Since its launch in 2017, sales of these devices have reached more than 44 million units.

LG maintained the first place in sales of OLED TVs for the eleventh consecutive year with a market share of 53%, as the company sold 3 million units of them during 2023.
Samsung said that the fact that it has been ranked first in the world in the global TV market for 18 years is the result of consumer confidence, and that it will continue to introduce many innovations that can “make consumers ‘ everyday life more valuable in the future”.
