Ericsson appoints a new vice president for the West Africa and Morocco region

Majda Lahlou qassi has been appointed Vice President of Ericsson and Head of Ericsson West Africa and Morocco, effective January 2024.

Yesterday, the company announced the new position of Qassi, who said that after nearly 25 years at Ericsson, she will play a critical role in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of Ericsson’s business in this region.

This will require providing Ericsson customers with the most advanced and innovative solutions that will advance connectivity and, ultimately, society across West Africa.

According to Ericsson, Qassi has held a number of senior leadership positions across technology, sales, strategy, operations and customer project delivery.

She added: “She has extensive knowledge in the field of communications and information technology.” “Magda was previously Head of Network Solutions at Ericsson West Africa and Morocco, where she led a team responsible for driving customer network developments in 13 countries.”

Majda Lahlou Kassi commented on her new post, saying: “My focus is on supporting our customers, enabling their success while leveraging the technology and services we provide to drive Ericsson’s growth in the region.”

According to the company, Ericsson has always believed that diverse and inclusive teams enhance performance and creativity to produce more business value, and Cassie’s appointment reinforces this belief.
