“Egyptian post” hosts the “PRIME” workshop to build the capacities of African countries and improve the quality of postal services

The Egyptian post hosts the “PRIME” workshop, which is organized by the International Bureau of the Universal Postal Union, to build the capacities of African countries, and improve the quality of postal services within the “PRIME” agreement, which includes a selection of the best postal institutions (international and Arab) from ١٦٠ a country, in coordination with the Arab Permanent Committee for post and the comprehensive African Postal Union; at the headquarters of the regional Postal Training Center in Cairo during the period from ٢٩ to يناير January ٢٠٢٤, with the participation of the international expert “Cinzia Neri” Prime head, and the international expert”Joni sunikka” operations manager at Prime.


Dr. Sherif Farouk, chairman of the board of Directors of the Egyptian post, said: “this training program comes within the framework of the PRIME agreement to build the capacities of African countries and improve the quality of postal services, in addition to the Egyptian post’s constant efforts to support the implementation of the Universal Postal Union strategy, which aims to build the capacities of African Postal institutions to provide services in a better way, in addition to the training programs to be implemented within the framework of the Regional Development Plan of the Universal Postal Union.


Dr. Sherif Farouk, chairman of the board of Directors of the Egyptian Post, explained that the “PRIME” workshop is of great importance as it deals with an explanation of the best ways to measure performance and quality of customer service, international accounting methods and operational processes, pointing out that the Egyptian post seeks through this workshop to support the implementation of the project of the International Bureau of the Universal Postal Union, which contributes to improving the operational efficiency of African countries and improving the quality of delivery services at the level of the African and Arab postal network; to meet the needs of individual e-commerce customers and e-commerce platforms, as well as to provide high quality shipping services at economical prices.


It is worth mentioning that the “PRIME” agreement is an agreement between the member states of the Universal Postal Union, which includes a selection of the best experts in international postal institutions from ١٦٠ country, and the prime agreement is managed through its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, and the Egyptian post has joined the “prime” agreement in ٢٠١٨, and the agreement is interested in helping countries in providing services of, Express”, the prime agreement aims to develop postal services and logistics solutions that serve the e – commerce market from platforms and their customers, whether (merchants or buyers) by facilitating the exchange of lightweight e – commerce parcels between member countries with high quality and competitive price, and participates in the workshop ٧٨ an intern from ١٦ an Arab and African country, namely: (Egypt – Zimbabwe – Qatar – Sudan – UAE – Libya – Sierra Leone – Malawi – Botswana – Morocco – Tunisia – Saudi Arabia – Kenya – Lesotho-Uganda-eSwatini).
