Egypt participates in the ministerial meeting on the digital economy within the G20 work in India

Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, left Cairo for the Indian city of Bangalore on a two-day visit to participate in the ministerial meeting on the digital economy, which comes within the work of the G20, hosted by India, within the framework of the invitation extended to Egypt to participate as a guest country during the period of India’s presidency. of the group in the G20 meetings.

It is scheduled that Dr. Amr Talaat will participate in the sessions of the ministerial meeting, which aim to present visions and exchange experiences in the areas of digital infrastructure, cyber security, and digital skills.

Dr. Amr Talaat will also hold a session on the sidelines of the meeting; A number of discussions with a number of ministers and officials of companies specialized in the field of communications and information technology, with the aim of enhancing cooperation and investment in the communications and information technology sector in Egypt.

It is worth noting that the Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) aims to provide a guiding vision for policy makers to achieve digital transformation and economic growth. The G20 is the main forum for international economic cooperation. It plays an important role in shaping and strengthening the global architecture and governance on all major international economic issues.

India holds the G20 presidency from December 1, 2022 to November 30, 2023.
